ECB Survey of Professional Forecasters for the third quarter of 2021
As my time at the ECB is coming to an end, this SPF report is likely the last one co-authored by me. Given this fact it’s nice that also content-wise the topic of this survey was a wide-spread sentiment of hope of having the worst behind us, with many respondents even mentioning that there are even upside risks to their baseline forecasts.
In the latest survey round, respondents revised up their GDP forecasts across horizons, in the light of the widespread easing of Covid-19 containment measures.
